Easy Handling for Turmeric Production
Product Information
Turmeric powder is a condiment that is an integral part of Indian cuisine and is used in many dishes across India, it has a warm, bitter taste and is frequently used to flavour or colour curry powders, mustards, butter, and cheeses.
Customer’s Requirement
Turmeric powder is prone to dust while conveying, the customer was looking for a conveyor that would increase their production to 4 tons per hour so that they could integrate it into their existing process line, and they wanted a machine that would take care of factors like hygiene and maintenance specifically.
Solution
Aero Mechanical Conveyor: An F3 Aero Mechanical Conveyor made out of SS304 (food grade Stainless Steel) was provided for the process line.
Polyurethane rope and disk: The conveyor consisted of a Polyurethane rope and disk which was best suited to convey turmeric powder without having any reaction to the product.
Easy cleaning: An extra set of food-grade brushes and disk assemblies was provided to the customer for easy cleaning of the machine from the inside.
Magnetic grill: In addition to this, Kiron Hydraulic Needs also included a magnet grill to the conveyor to prevent any form of metallic particles from flowing into the product. This ensured the turmeric powder was unadulterated by external agents.
Outcome
Quick Installation: The installation of the aero-mechanical conveyor was completed within the stipulated period that was required by the customer.
Small Footprint: The aero-mechanical conveyor has a very small footprint which solves the space restrictions in the line.
Capacity: The conveying capacity of 4 tons per hour was achieved through the solution provided.
Hygiene and Handling: Due to the closed nature of Floveyor’s machine, the turmeric powder could be transported without any contact with external agents which enabled easy handling as well as hygiene.
