The client wanted to add sugar granules with proper blending to the energy drink powder Tang.
Customer’s Requirement
Our clients are planning for a new plant set up which is to be their largest plant in Asia. They are required to transfer sugar granules from the storage silo to Blender with a flow rate of about 20 tons /hour.
Challenge
The nature of the product was hygroscopic and they were previously using another drag conveyor to get sugar granules transferred to their existing mixer, but this system had frequent rope breakage issues and it was not easy for maintenance as there was no provision for easy cleaning.
Solution
Our client was looking to improve their current system through a solution. The project consultant they were working with was familiar with the installation, the working of flavour, and its capability. Due to this, they decided to come to us. Understanding the product nature and throughput required, the F4 model was selected. Two F4 Floveyor Units were installed for two Mixers each with a capacity of 20 tons/hour.
As per the interest of our client, they preferred to replace manual tensioning with Auto tensioning i.e. Electrical Actuator.
Outcome
The sugar granules travel from Batch Silo at ground level to Mixer at the 2nd-floor points for processing of energy drinks & chocolate making, the conveyors move at high volumes of powders and granules through this F4 model transfer without dust or product degradation
