Powder Transfer System
A Powder Transfer System is a dependable and effective way to move powdered and granular materials. It is a huge improvement over any traditional, mechanical technology, and it allows for completely dust-free material transfer. Because of its small size, the Powder transfer system is ideal for installations where space is limited. It also offers the simplest technique of material handling automation, requiring just minor changes to an existing system.
Material is conveyed vertically or horizontally to and from process equipment using a powder transfer system. The method allows the powder to be loaded directly into Mixers, Closed hoppers, Containers, Reactors, and other equipment in a safe manner, avoiding the generation of dust during the transfer.
How does Powder Transfer System work
A Powder transfer system, like a material transfer technology, employs both pressure and vacuum to move materials to and from process equipment, either vertically or horizontally, as if they were liquids. Gravity charging is no longer required, rendering multi-floor procedures obsolete. These systems may transport hazardous and hygroscopic chemicals, as well as extremely explosive powders.
It provides a safe, dependable, and contained means of transferring powder by removing oxygen from the powder and creating a physical barrier between the powder and the reactor, fully avoiding the chance of explosion, harmful gas leak, or fire while in use.
The Powder transfer system is a one-of-a-kind device that provides absolute containment, speeds up production, and improves safety and hygiene. Powders with varying qualities may be conveniently moved using this transfer system, which also helps save batch time. They can be utilized for a variety of tasks, including packing powders in high-containment environments, charging reactors, and emptying centrifuges.
The Powder Transfer System is a highly efficient and capable system for transferring and dispensing dry and wet powders and grains. It is the only Vacuum Dense Phase System available due to its unique filtering design with a flat membrane.
The Powder Transfer System dispensing system employs both Vacuum and Pressure to transfer powders without the need for gravity charges, eliminating the necessity for multi-floor operations.
The system is an important addition to any process, always increasing output while boosting safety and cleanliness. Batch time can be significantly decreased, and current process stages can be integrated. Our goods are used in a variety of sectors, including Chemical, Food, Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, and Sugar, to mention a few.
DIFFERENT POWDER TRANSFER METHODS
PNEUMATIC POWDER TRANSFER
Dense Phase Powder Transfer Systems
High-capacity materials are conveyed over long distances using dense phase transfer systems. They assist in decreasing abrasion and particle degradation and are well-suited for Single source or Multiple destination systems. They also have a continuous transfer option and are compressed-air operated, which helps to lower transfer velocity. Chemicals, Cement, Plastic, and Metals, among other materials, are excellent for these systems.
Lean Phase Positive Pressure Systems
This is a blower-driven system that uses a rotary valve/airlock feeding device to help convey the material through the air and release it from the bin. It is suitable for less abrasive materials such as resins, pelletized items, coffee, and other similar materials, and allows for continuous operations.
Vacuum conveying Systems
Positive displacement exhausters are used in Vacuum conveying systems to create a vacuum that helps materials flow down the pipeline and into the receiving vessel. The air and product are filtered and separated once they reach the receiving vessel.
Vacuum transfer systems in the lean or dilute phase are very versatile and adaptable and depending on the material being conveyed, they may be used at high or low working pressures. Vacuum transfer systems are specifically developed for small applications in the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors, and can be constructed utilizing rotary blowers, centrifugal blowers, or even rotary vane/side channel vacuum pumps.
MECHANICAL POWDER TRANSFER
Screw Conveyors
Screw conveyors are one of the most cost-effective ways to mechanically transmit products. They're used for adding tiny amounts of powder, unloading bulk bags, discharging small hoppers, and a variety of other applications. Screw conveyors can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or inclinedly.
Belt Conveyors
These move bulk items such as coal, ore, salt, sand, grain, and so on. Belt conveyor systems are made up of two or more pulleys (Also known as drums) that spin around a closed loop of carrying medium (The Conveyor Belt).
Bucket Elevators
Bucket elevators are used to lift bulk goods vertically using a series of buckets coupled to a belt or chain with pulleys.
Vibrating Conveyors
Vibrating Conveyors are used to convey delicate bulk powder products. These systems are extremely hygienic and mild, and they can convey dry, wet, frozen, and abrasive materials.
POWDER TRANSFER SYSTEM BENEFITS
Compact
Flexible pipes are used in material transfer technology, allowing for numerous infeed, destination locations, and longer transfer distances. When compared to mechanical transfer systems, this results in a compact system that takes up less area.
Easy to use
Because of their basic design, they are simple to install and use. When conveying from several pick-up places on a wide scale, they are also a cost-effective solution. They may be customized to fit around existing powder processing equipment. This allows you more freedom.
Hygienic
Powder Conveying Systems assist in limiting the risk of product contamination by having crevice-free surface designs that prevent powders and materials from being lodged. It also removes external impurities, ensuring that the facility and equipment are kept clean. Furthermore, the powder transfer system is FDA-approved and manufactured of stainless, etc. In addition, pipes may be cleaned and dried using the CIP method.
Dust Free Atmosphere
Because the product is conveyed through an enclosed pipeline, it helps to maintain a dust-free environment that is beneficial to the health and safety of all facility employees. The contained Powder transfer system also removes the necessity for manual solids handling, protecting the operator from harm.
Efficiency
The Powder transfer system is more streamlined, making the transfer process more efficient. It involves fewer people, and it eliminates the need for hoists and handling equipment above the reactor.
Swift Transfer
In addition to process efficiency, the powder transfer system uses clean, non-lubricated compressed air to deliver quick transport efficiency.
Low Maintenance and Longer Equipment Life
Compared to mechanical transfer systems, these systems have fewer moving components and hence require less maintenance. There are fewer moving components, which means less wear and tear. Similarly, the equipment's closed system reduces the possibility of damage and deterioration to the agitator and seal system during the mixing operation, extending the equipment's life.
