Trough Screw Conveyor
Kiron Food Processing Technologies manufactures Trough Screw Conveyors designed by Klinkenberg and offers a wide range of options for any bulk material handling application. All trough screw conveyors are available in abrasion-resistant steels, carbon steel, stainless steel and hot-dipped galvanized. Kiron Food Processing Technologies can make a trough screw conveyor out of any commercially available metal. Plate end flanges are CNC cut and jig welded to ensure precise alignment with neighbouring trough sections.
Shape of Trough Screw Conveyor
The form of the Trough Screw conveyor is the first selection the customer must make.
U-shaped Tough screw conveyor
The U-Shaped Tough screw conveyor is the most popular trough form, and it is appropriate for practically all applications. It removes the cover to provide total access to the screw and hangers, making screw conveyor maintenance considerably easier.
flared Tough screw conveyor
The Flared Tough Screw Conveyor trough is utilized in instances where huge, bulky materials can be delivered above the screw or where the trough's top aperture must be greater. These applications include rendering and an agricultural processing centre for fruits and vegetables.
tubular tROUGH screw conveyor
The Tubular Trough Screw Conveyor is ideal for sloped applications (>15°). The ID of the tube is ½" from the OD of the screw, preventing material from falling back over the flight as it is transported up the incline. The tubular trough screw conveyor is especially effective for delivering sticky materials since the narrow ID/OD reduces the space for material to gather. The tubular trough screw conveyor is available in a one-piece "O" form or a two-piece bolted-together "C" configuration.
rectangular Trough screw conveyor
The Rectangular Trough Screw Conveyor is used for abrasive materials. The rectangular part allows the material to gather around the screw, creating a barrier between it and the housing. This barrier protects the housing against abrasive wear.
Technical Specs of Trough Screw Conveyor
The modular Trough Screw Conveyor system is extremely adaptable, providing several options for moving powdered or granular materials. Screw Conveyors are made of carbon steel with acceptable surface treatment.
They consist of a U or V-shaped trough with at least one outlet spout, an end plate at each trough end, helicoid screw flighting welded on a centre pipe with coupling bush at each end, two end bearing assemblies complete with shaft seal, a number of intermediate hanger bearings determined by the overall length of the screw conveyor, and bolted trough cover sections.
Furthermore, Trough Screw Conveyors come with a gear motor suitable for the application. Trough Screw Conveyors are available in light, medium, and extra heavy-duty designs, depending on the material to be handled.
Benefits of Trough Screw Conveyors
Trough Screw Conveyors may be customized to your needs. Here are some of the advantages of introducing a screw conveyor to your business.
Trough screw conveyors are simple to clean, maintain, and construct.
They operate at varying speeds and capacities to accommodate your workload.
Screw conveyors are available with various inlets and exits, as well as manual speed adjustment.
Completely enclosed Tough screw conveyors may safeguard the product from contamination and make the workplace safer by preventing dangerous chemicals from entering the atmosphere.
